John D. Seay – Obituary

John D. Seay, 64, Moulton, Alabama passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at his residence, Sweetbottom Cove.

John was an honest man. He was honest in love, honest in friendship, and honest in business. He was an artist. His life was filled with color. He was both gracious and giving while being neither thrifty nor timely. His love of art and architecture, animals and nature was second only to his family and his God. His love for his wife of greater than 40 years Melba and his children Patrick and Sarah was beyond limits. He lived beyond reproach.

He was a graduate of the University of North Alabama, a member of Moulton Baptist Church. He retired from Wal-Mart management and was a lifelong Republican.

Funeral service will be Thursday, August 24, 2017, 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, Waco community with Claude Posey officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include wife, Melba Boyett Seay; mother, Arlenia Seay; children, Patrick Alan Seay; Sarah Katherine Johnston (Jamin); sisters, Glenda Pearson (Jimmy), Darlene Fortner (Scotty), Janie Smith; brothers, William Bud Seay, Mike Seay (Charlotte), Jeff Seay (Tina); a host nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by son, Richard Alan Seay; father, Ralph Seay,; brother, Ricky, Bill, Burns, and Pete Seay; sister Patsy Seay.

Pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Brian Pearson, James Osborn, Michael Osborn, Ben Posey and Joshua Posey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the youth ministry of your choice.
