Funeral services for Mr. John D. McKennon, age 88, will be held at 1 PM Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until service time on Thursday.
Mr. McKennon passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mr. McKennon was a member of the Berea Baptist Church, a retired factory worker, served in the TN National Guard, and served in the US Navy.
Mr. McKennon was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Hinson; his parents, Webb and Lue Willie McKennon; and a sister.
Mr. McKennon is survived by his wife, Shirley Sue McKennon.
