John D. “Bub” Glover, Jr., 71, of Corinth, Mississippi, died on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. In his free time, Bub enjoyed walking, riding around town, and telling stories with his friends at the Crossroads Quick Stop. If he wasn’t out on the town or with his Crossroads buddies, you could find him eating catfish. Bub is survived by his siblings, Carol Strickland of Burnsville, Karen Hendon (Clarence) of Chattanooga, and Bryan Patrick Glover of Corinth; his nieces and nephews, Kim Edwards (Andy) of Chattanooga, Kevin Strickland (Kayla) of Corinth, Reggie Helton (Sheree) of Chattanooga, Joe Glover (Kelly) of Hattiesburg, Becky Ratliff (John) of Hattiesburg, Sabrina Strickland of Burnsville, Bryan Scott Glover (Crickett) of Atlanta, Allison Gaillard (Thomas) of Mobile, Eric Helton (Jennifer) of Chattanooga, Jonathan Willis Glover of Iuka, and Alicia Prentiss (Jeffrey) of Jumpertown; his very good friends, Jeff and Sherry Kennedy and Kathryn Glover; and a host of others who he cared about deeply and considered family. He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Constance Glover of Iuka; his grandparents, Richard and Julia Yale of Sheffield, England, and Dave and Ivy Glover of Iuka; and his siblings, Julia Glover of Alcorn County and Ronnie Glover of Hattiesburg. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen, officiated by Bro. Billy Glover. Honorary pallbearers include Eric Helton, Bryan Scott Glover, Reggie Helton, Jonathan Glover, and Joe Glover. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Shiloh.
