  Obituary of John Eddy ChriscoJohn Chrisco, 73, of Huntsville AL passed away on Monday, November 28 in Huntsville AL.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 on Thursday December 1st at Valhalla Funeral Home & Memory Gardens. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 on Thursday December 1st at Valhalla Funeral Home & Memory Gardens with Steven Mercer of Randolph Street Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow the conclusion of the funeral service at the same location in the Garden of the Last Supper.

John was born in Caraway Arkansas to Arlie and Louise Blankenship Chrisco on September 19, 1949. He attended school in Monette Arkansas. After graduating high school in Monette he attended Keegan School of Broadcasting in Memphis Tennessee. After completing broadcasting school, he moved to Huntsville to start his career in radio at WBHP. Over his career in radio under the professional name “John Scott” he worked in every facet of the business that included emceeing various concerts, hosting the A&W sock hop and creating what was the largest outdoor country concert in Huntsville at the time.

John loved faith, family and country. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Air Force. John also served as a deacon at Randolph Street Church of Christ for many years.

John met and married Linda Ray West on March 23, 1968 in Huntsville Alabama.

John is preceded in death by his parents Arlie and Louise Blankenship Chrisco and two brothers Duane and Ronnie Chrisco.

John is survived by his wife Linda West Chrisco. Johnny Ray Chrisco (son) and wife Heather. Jeff Chrisco (son) and wife Traci. Donna Stewart (sister) and husband Tony. Grandchildren Hunter Chrisco, Katie Chrisco and Ashlynn Chrisco and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Hunter Chrisco, Stewart Black, Mikael Elledge, Carey Chrisco, Tony Stewart and Bryan Daniel.

Honorary pallbearer Tommy Evans.
