John A. “Jack” Schell was born on May 21, 1929, and passed away at EAMC on Jan. 7, 2016, at the age of 86.
He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Auburn, Alabama.
He was son to the late Henry Michael and Victoria Halter Schell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Boggs Schell; brother, Thomas Schell; and sister, Angela Schell Daniels.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Helen M. Schell; three nephews, Tim Schell (Sherri), Ted Schell (Amy), and Jack Schell; great-nieces, Courtney Schell Warden (Andy), Katherine Gattman, and Lexee Schell; and great-nephews, Teddy Schell (Stephanie) and Max Schell.
Visitation will be in the parlor of Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, from 5 until 7 p.m. CST.
The funeral Mass will be Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Auburn, with Father Bill Skoneki officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery at 1 p.m. CST
