Joey Lynn Thompson, 57, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama.
Mr. Thompson lived in the Ardmore community his entire life where he was of the Baptist faith. In his free time, Joey enjoyed being outside, working on old cars, and piddling around the house.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Thompson and Ruth Eloise Broadway Thompson, two brothers, Steve Thompson and Dwight Thompson, as well as one granddaughter, Preslee Bissett.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, LeaAnne Thompson, two daughters, Brittany (Zack) Bissett and Whitney Thompson, two brothers, Stanley (Linda) Thompson and Travis (Freida) Thompson, two sisters, Kathy Hughes and Connie (Robert) Sanders, two half-brothers, Dewayne (Charlotte) Thompson and Randy Thompson, one half-sister, Darlene Thompson, as well as two grandchildren, Ana Grace Bissett and Parker Bissett.
There will be a visitation held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, October 4, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. A Chapel Service is scheduled to follow visitation with the service beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro. Wesley Watts will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery.
