Joel O’Neal Presson, age 45 of Bath Springs, TN, formerly of Jackson, passed away on December 27, 2020 at his home in Bath Springs, Decatur County, TN.
Joel was born February 19, 1975 in Jackson, TN to George O’Neal Presson and Diane Sanderson Collins who survive. Mr. Presson loved to hunt, fish, and cook. He was a very beloved son, father, and a friend to many. He was employed with Jackson Energy Authority for twenty-six and a half years and he was a member of First Baptist Church of Bemis.
Mr. Presson was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Loreda Sanderson and Landon and Verda Presson; and a step sister Lisa Ann Collins Reeves.
Mr. Presson is survived by his son, Layne Presson; his parents; brother, Chris Presson; stepdad, Richard Collins; stepsister, Cindy McCaslin (Jason); stepson, Braden Harton; special friend, Debbie Davis; several nieces and one nephew.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens with Bro. John Hatley officiating. Due to the circumstances, this service is subject to change and will be updated here if required. The family requests that you refrain from physical contact, maintain a distance of six feet, and wear your mask if you choose to attend.
Pallbearers to serve will be cousins John Presson, Clayton Sanderson, Cody Sanderson, Cullen Sanderson, Eddie Sumler, and close friend Dennis McClemore.
