Joe Wilson Wood, age 75, of Florence, Alabama, died Thursday, December 26, 2013. The visitation will be Monday December 30th from 12-1:00p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral will follow at 1:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Arnold, Garland, and Junior.
Joe loved to work on lawn mowers.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Shirley Balentine Wood; sons, Danny Wood and Tony Wood, daughters, Shelia Wood and Wanda (Tim) Moore, brothers; Buddy Wood, Kenneth Wood, William Wood, Clyde Wood, and Bill Wood, sisters, Jewel Crawford, Earline Bailey, and Ruth Aimes, and grandson Blake Welch.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
