Joe William Toungette, age 78 of Ethridge, TN, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his residence. He was of the Christian faith. After his retirement, he drove the bus for the gospel music group The Hemphills. In his spare time, he loved to garden and work on the farm.
He is preceded in death by his Wife, Elizabeth Toungette; Parents, Charles Eugene and Willodean Guthrie Toungette; Daughters, Sara Marie and Rose Marie Toungette; Brother, Jerry Toungette; Sister, Eloise Alsup.
He is survived by his Sons, William Toungett (Karen), David Toungette; Daughters, Jo Ann Mitchell (Jim), Bonnie Bledsoe (Sam); Brother, Bobby Toungette (Jennifer); Sister, Debbie Hairell; 8 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A Private Graveside service will be held at Old Ethridge Cemetery.
