Mr. Joe Stiles Jr of New Market passed away on Wednesday. He was 81.
He was a life-long resident of Madison County having grown up in the “Hump” community of New Market. He attended Walnut Grove School before graduating from Buckhorn High School in 1960. Joe had retired from the Marshall Space Flight Center with over 42 years of service.
Surviving family members include his wife of almost 61 years, Faye Stiles; His son and daughter-in-law, Tony & Anita Stiles; His daughter and son-in-law, Kasondra & Dan Gipson; His grandchildren: Rusty (Elizabeth) Stiles, Bridgett (Shannon) Brown, Ashlyn (Jonathan) Miotke, and Kelly (Keith) Wiley; His great-grandchildren: Jackson, Cooper, Emery, Reid, Olivia, Benny, Ashlyn, AdaLeigh, and Amelia. His nephew who was like a son, Bob Hilderbrand. His brothers, Terry Tate and John Stiles. His sister, Ann White.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30am at the funeral home with Pastor Billy Langford officiating. Burial will follow the service and will be in Concord Cemetery.
