Joe Lynn Fields USAF TSGT (Ret) passed away on Monday at the age of 68.
Joe was married for 48 years to his school sweetheart Kathy Hollingsworth Fields. Together they raised two wonderful children Stephen Paul Fields and Travis Bryant Fields. Joe was born and raised in Gurley, AL but felt a call to serve his nation in the USAF. Joe traveled the world while spending 20 years active duty in the USAF and spent time in Korea, Portugal and multiple US States.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry L. and Sue Fields. He is survived by his wife Kathy Fields, sons Stephen Fields, Travis (Nancy) Fields, grandson Franklin Alexander, brothers Harry Neil Fields and William Fields (Linda) and sister Martha Baker (Randy). Visitation and Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home with burial immediately following after at Collier Cemetery in Gurley.
Visitation will be Thursday 10am to 12pm at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will follow at 12:00 pm with Rev. Carol Goforth officiating.
Interment will be in Collier Cemetery in Gurley with military honors.
