Celebration of life service for Joe Lloyd Dixon, 87, is set for Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Warring Porter officiating. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday 10:00 am until service time at Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Dixon died Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at his residence. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Joe was the owner of Dixon Bros. Service Station, which he ran alongside his brother, Bill for 33 years. He was a 1953 graduate of Corinth High School and a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Nelms Dixon; son, Mike Dixon; and parents, Lloyd and Carrie Myrtle Dixon.
He is survived by his son, Tim Dixon; daughter, Diane Kimmons (Mike), daughter-in-law, Patsy Dixon; grandchildren, Morgan Crum (Jacob), Madison Welzbacher, Reid Dixon and Rachel Conner (Ryan); brother, Bill Dixon (Faye); and sister, Carrie Sue Holder.
