Joe Lance Minor, 74, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born November 23, 1950 to the late Joe B. Minor and the late Johnnie Lee Markham Minor. Joe worked in manufacturing and also was a paper carrier for the Daily Journal for almost 31 years until his retirement in 2022. Joe was an avid sports fan and especially loved Alabama football. He spent many years drag racing in and around the southeast. He loved his dogs and collecting and dealing in antiques. Joe was a member of East Amory Baptist Church.
Memorial service will be 12:00 pm on Saturday December 14, 2024, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Akers officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 Saturday all in the Senter Funeral Home chapel.
Survivors include his step-son, Greg (Caryn) Gann of Fulton; step-daughter, Kim Davis of Chattanooga, TN; step-grandchildren: Brooke (Justin) Davis, Anna Davis, Reid Gann, Elizabeth Gann, Kate Gann; great-granddaughter, Eliza Jane Davis; great-grandson, Jett Wilder Pickett
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruthie Mae Minor; brother, Steven ‘PeeWee” Minor
