Mr. Joe L. Williams was born on November 7th, 1946, in Colbert County, AL to Joe and Nannie Ruth Williams he departed this earthly life on Monday July 31st surrounded by loved ones. Joe closed his eyes and slipped quietly into enteral rest with the Lord.

He was a graduate of Leighton Training School, and he also served our country in The United States Army and Vietnam. He received several Medals: National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, W/1 Bronze Service Star, and Sharp Shooter Rifle.

He was United in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life on December 24th, 1968, to Annie Pearl King Williams their union of marriage of 54 years.

He professed his faith in Christ at an early age at Carter’s Branch, Tishomingo, MS. later in life he became a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Leighton, Alabama where he served many capacities as a member of the Deacon Board, Choir, & Male Chorus.

He was employed by the city of Sheffield at the Police Officer and later went to work at Diamond Shamrock/Occidental Chemicals where he was employed until retirement of 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joe Williams and Nannie Ruth Williams; his sisters: Fronie Marie King, Nannie Mae Williams, and Annie Jo Williams; brother Jimmy Williams

Those left to cherish his loving memories his loving wife: Mrs. Annie Pearl King Williams Muscle Shoals, Alabama

Children: Anthony O’Neal Williams, Michael Dion Williams, Ronald Doran Williams, Torris Damon Williams, all of Muscle Shoals, Alabama

Two Loving Sisters: Nellie Eggleston- Florence, AL; Nora Williams- Sheffield, AL.

Two Devoted Brothers: Freddie Williams (Rosita) of Huntsville, AL and Johnny Williams- Sheffield, AL

Sisters in-law: Katherine Acklin(Louis), Rebecca Ricks(Walter), Leathia King, Cherlyn Martin, Carolyn Wilson (David), Sharon Williams, Christine King

Brothers-in-law: Thomas Armstead, Thomas Fuqua, Andrew King, & Donald King

Uncle- Paul L. Cole- Sheffield, AL.

Devoted Granddaughter & Grandson Angelica Smith & Torris Williams II

Devoted Nieces Kimberly Armstead Pride & Melissa D. Williams
