Mr. Joe Irving Shook, 63, of Scottsboro, passed away, Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 6 – 8 pm, at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro. Funeral service will be on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 11 am held in the Chapel at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro, with Bro. Greg Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Goosepond Cemetery, Scottsboro.
Joe was the co-founder of Scottsboro Gun & Pawn, and a member of the Scottsboro Class of 1980.
Joe is survived by his brother and sister, Robert (Sonya) Shook, Debbie Shook, nieces and nephews, Krissy (Wade) Jones, Kelly (Randall) Helton, Kyle (Kateland) Putman, Chase (Stephanie) Putman, and several great nieces and nephews, and friend Amanda Lambert.
He is preceded in death by wife, Cathy Dulaney Shook, Parents, Bob and Judy Shook, Joe and Ada Irving, Robert and Emma Shook, nephews, Chris and Mason Florence.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that a donation be made in Joe’s honor to Goosepond Cemetery and/or Freeman Cemetery in Scottsboro.
