Joe Edsel Vandiver, age 68, of Leighton, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in the arms of his loving wife. Private funeral services will be at Foxtrap Church of Christ, with burial at Hopewell Cemetery. Verban Vandiver and Hillard Ayers are officiating.
Mr. Vandiver was a native of Colbert County and a boilermaker (local #455). He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Emogene Fuller Vandiver.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Brenda Vandiver; daughters, Dana Martin, Carla Evans, Amanda Stricklin, and Amy Vandiver; brothers, Larry and Mickey Vandiver; and ten grandchildren.
