Mrs. Joe Ann Maness, age 78, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 in Jackson. She was born August 30, 1944 in Henderson County to the late George and Jewell Ann Woods Segraves. She was retired from Brown Shoe and also worked as a security guard for Murray Guard. She was a member of County Line Missionary Baptist Church and loved camping, cooking, and just being around people.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Ersie B. Maness and one grandson, Nick Cox. Survivors include her two sons, Mike Maness and Steve Maness; two daughters, Karen Tuberville (Mike) and Shonda Maness (Alexis Harris); her brother, Jerry Segraves (Janice); four grandchildren, Eric Tuberville (Nicole), Stephen Maness, Derek Maness, and Kristi French; and six great grandchildren, Hudson, Bentley, Chandler, Troy, Addison, and Presley.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, April 23, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Central Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, 5-9 PM, Saturday 10 AM – 9 PM, and on Sunday, 10 AM – 2 PM.
