Funeral for Joe Ann “Jodie” Jenkins, 81, of Decatur, will be Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 3:00pm at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, and Richie Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00pm -3:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins was born July 12, 1942, in Decatur, Alabama to James Neal Stephenson and Evelyn Linderman Roberson. She died Friday, January 12, 2024, at her residence.
Jodie passed away on her mother’s birthday, and now she is reunited with her mother and sister in Heaven. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Carolyn Sue McCulloch.
She is survived by, husband of 63 years, Travis Jenkins; son, Keith Jenkins (Tammy), Son, Tim Jenkins, and daughter, Molly Richie (Jeff); eight grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Zach Richie, Josh Jenkins, A.J. Jenkins, Justin Jenkins, Noah Jenkins, and Callis Ward.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
