Joda Neil NeSmith, 66 of Union Grove passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at his residence. Joda was born February 28, 1957 in Arab the son of Joda Thomas NeSmith and Marjorie Fletcher NeSmith. He was a 1975 graduate of Arab High School and was a retiree of the United States Navy after 20 years, serving his country with honor and courage. Later he became an over the road truck driver.
He is survived by his wife: Shelia Latham NeSmith; sisters: Sandra Bell and Lola Fry (Carl); stepchildren: Ruth Watson and Cassondra Revelle; host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joda Thomas and Marjorie NeSmith and a sister: Jean Phillips.
There will be a visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Gober Funeral Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Gilliam Springs Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
