With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Joanne Wyatt on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Christian Care Center of Medina at the age of 70.
Joanne was born in Jackson, Tennessee, on August 13, 1953, the daughter of the late Joseph E, and Iva McCollum Hopper.
Throughout her life, she devoted herself to caring for her family with unwavering love and dedication.
Joanne will be remembered not only for her nurturing spirit but also for her various interests that brought joy to those around her. She found great pleasure in following University of Tennessee Football games, attending sporting events to support her beloved grandchildren and indulging in the art of cooking and playing Solitaire.
A woman of grace and compassion, Joanne leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband Mark Wyatt, her daughter, Hilary Sanders and her husband Mike of Jackson, TN, her dear sister, Linda Vaden and her husband Don of Bells, TN and her grandchildren Bailey Sanders, Hunter Sanders, Michael Sanders and Ryan Sanders, as well as four great grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor Joanne’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Danny Sorrell, minister of Campbell Street Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Madison County.
The family will be gathering with friends in a time of remembrance on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, beginning at 12:00 p.m. and continuing until 2:00 prior to the service.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Gross, Zachary Holt, Hunter Sanders, Michael Sanders, Ryan Sanders and Bryan Vaden.
Joanne’s kindness and warmth touched countless lives during her time with us. While we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman, we also celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the memories she created with each one of us.
