Joanna S. Schmanke, 80, of Hazel Green, passed away Wednesday. Mrs. Schmanke was a native of Rochester, NY and a resident of Madison County for 6 1/2 years. She also was a member of Hazel Green United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband: Walter J. Schmanke; three sons: David Schmanke, Michael Schmanke, and Matthew Schmanke; daughter: Patricia Vianco Schmanke; three sisters: Elizabeth Avedisian, Linda Concannon, and Karen Winkelman; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
