JoAnn Long JoAnn Long, age 88, of Hendersonville, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Creekside Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Madison. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday, August 12th, in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Dan Russell, Bro. Tim Zuniga, and Bro. Don Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery on Dividing Ridge Road in Goodlettsville with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 11am until time of the service at 2pm Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Long was born March 12, 1936, in Putnam County, TN, to the late Huey Haskill Baker and Arzella Whitaker Baker. She was a homemaker most of her life and a member of the Goodlettsville Pentecostal Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Long was proceeded in death by her husband, Brice Nelson Long; son, Timmy Hallum; daughter, Karen Melson; step-son, Gary Long; and sisters, Clara Adams, and Bee Moore.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Wenda) Hallum, and Jimmy (Paula) Hallum; daughter, Betty Jo Shoemake; step-daughters, Phyllis (Jimmy) Lackey, and Debbie (Gary) Carter; 20 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House is in charge of these arrangements.
