JoAnn Grissom Green, age 80 of Muscle Shoals went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2016. She was born in Colbert County; graduated from Sheffield High School, attended Florence State for two years and was employed with Sheffield Utilities and Sheffield Board of Education. She was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church, was a member of the “Sonshine” class and taught the five year old Sunday school for thirty years.
Her family will receive friends Saturday, 10-12p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with her funeral service following in the funeral home chapel with Will Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Tressie Mae Grissom, her husband, Roy Allen Green and daughter, Leigh Ann Green McFall.
She is survived by her son, Greg A. Green (Marilyn); daughter, Mary Beth Richardson (Greg); five grandchildren, Andrea Goodloe (Greg), Allen Green, Kevin McFall (Heather), Lee Richardson, Adam Richardson and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Allen Green, Lee David Richardson, Roy Adam Richardson, Kevin McFall, Greg Goodloe Jr., and Greg Goodloe III.
