JoAnn had lived in Muldraugh, Kentucky, where she had played for a women’s softball league and was a member of the Muldraugh Baptist Church. She later moved to Savannah, Tennessee and owned Savannah Transmission.
JoAnn always managed to make others laugh. She was in pain the last couple of years, but still managed to smile through the pain.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, George Dowdell of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Sue Ann McNally Wilson of Dansville, Kentucky, Della May McNally Porter of Gatesville, Texas, Etta Ruth McNally Ludwig of Atlanta, Georgia, and Sandra Marie McNally Mullins of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Angela, Robin, Amber, Jessica, Michael, Tripp, Jenny, and Matt; great grandchildren, Maygn, Trent, Wilson, Colton, Jordan Kate, Eli, Cruz, Bella, Jacob, Mia, Noah, and Shawn Michael; brother, Lonnie “Gabby” Aebersold of California; and sisters, Wanda Sadler and Barbara Aebersold, both of Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Marcie and Michaela; and brother, Paul Aebersold.
