Joan Warren, 89, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024. Mrs. Warren was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years. She worked for a brief time with Chrysler, but retired from the Huntsville Times after 17 years. She also volunteered on many community programs.
Survivors include stepbrothers, Michael Webb (Lou) of Wetumpka, AL and Jimmy Webb (Hilda) of Bruce, MS; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Warren; and her parents, Charles Arthur Costner and Clyde Margaret Head Costner.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2024, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mark Seanor officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Missions or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
