Joan “Nana” Campbell Watts, 81 years old of Russellville, AL.
On May 19th, 2021, God sent His angels to welcome home one of his own. At the home of her daughter in Tuscumbia, AL, Joan donned her heavenly shroud in preparation of a most rejoiceful homecoming.
Joan was born June 10th, 1939, in Birmingham, AL. She was the youngest child of George and Verna Campbell and sister to thirteen siblings.
She had an unmatched zest for life and a servant’s heart that effortlessly infected everyone. She loved Jesus with an unapologetic passion and dedicated her life to introducing Him to all she met. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and immeasurable joy and laughter.
Joan was preceded in death by; husband, James Watts, her childhood friend and truest love; parents; brothers, Ralph, George, Homer, and David; sister, Maude and sister, Jeanne, whom she loved like no other; and grandson, Jake Watts.
She is survived by her children, James Watts, Becky Rogers (Roy), and Joe Watts (Gloria); grandchildren, James Jones (Ericka), Dr. Callie Dollar (Patrick), Katie Bond (Bruce), Denise Garcia (Wilmer), Kerri Bobo (Jacob), Devin Pavolini, Clayton Watts, and Becky J. Watts; her dearest friend, Rachel Glover, whom she shared love and laughter with for over 40 years; and a host of nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Beverly Bell (Bob) and Terri Wells (Darrell), who loved her like a mother.
The family will have a private graveside at Cedar Creek Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Stancil officiating.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews and friends.
