Joan C. NormanGraveside services will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, April 7th, for Joan C. Norman, 94, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away March 31, 2024. Interment will be at Hokes Bluff First Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Ryan Morris will officiate. Cremation Services of East Alabama were in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Norman was born in Brooklyn, NY, lived in Massachusetts and Albany, NY, until her marriage in 1948. She lived in Etowah County until her passing. She was a homemaker and retired from Alabama Education System after working at Hokes Bluff lunchroom.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louie T. Norman; son, David T. Norman; parents, George and Helen Woodcock; sister, Helene Deeb; and brother, George Woodcock, Jr.
She is survived by her children: Lynn (Bruce), Mark (Cindy), Phillip, and daughter in law Caroll; grandchildren, Matt, Lauryn, Ginger (Jonathan), Corey (Marie), Monica (Derek), Brett (Anna), Jonas (Chip) and Emma; great grandchildren, Alex, Javin, Kade, Gregory, Jillian, Gabriel and Catherine; and a host of very special nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was: Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Aunt Joan, Joanie, Cousin Joan, Joan. You were the center of our family and held us all together. You will take a piece of our hearts with you. We were all blessed to have you in our lives.
