joanJoan B. Ferguson, 74, of Hernando, MS, formerly of Iuka, MS, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at her home in Hernando. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Hernando Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Burnsville High School and attended Mississippi State College for Women. Joan served as past governor of the Mississippi Rotary Club, and as a board member and past officer of the Hernando Optimist Club. She was currently serving as president of the North Mississippi Board of Realtors. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Cliff Pace. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Leon Ferguson of Hernando; two sons, Jim Ferguson of Hernando, and John Ferguson (Laurabeth) of Oxford; one brother, Larry Bonds (Andrea) of Iuka; one sister, Jean Crane (Donald) of Iuka; and three grandchildren, William Ferguson, Daniel Ferguson, and Emma Grace Ferguson, all of Oxford. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Russell and Tressie Adams Bonds, and a brother, David Bonds. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Palmer Home for Children, P.O.
