Funeral services for Mrs. Joal Thoan Hopper Ballentine, age 81, will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2023 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 AM until service time.
Mrs. Ballentine, a homemaker, cosmetologist and member of Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 in the Bells Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Eunice Hopper; and a sister, Ima Jean Hopper
Mrs. Ballentine is survived by her husband, Jere Wayne Ballentine; a daughter, Crystal Turner of Gadsden; step-son, Tim Ballentine (Carla) of Humboldt; and two grandchildren, Reese and Riley Turner.
