Jo Murriel Pigg PhotoJo Murriel Pigg, age 91, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the home of her daughter, Lisa Pigg, in Lewisburg.

Mrs. Pigg was born in Lincoln County, TN, on October 25, 1933, the daughter of the late Joseph Leroy “Joe” Cashion and Selma J. Casteel Cashion. She graduated from Petersburg High School in Petersburg, TN. She worked at Serbin in Fayetteville and then retired after 33 years as Lab Supervisor from Cosmolab in Lewisburg.

She was a servant of God, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a lifetime member of Cane Creek Church of Christ. She served as a teacher and inspiration by example to other women to lead a Christian life. She was also fully dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren loving them with all her heart, soul and mind.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Pigg and four brothers, Willie Boyd Cashion, Herbert Cashion, W. J. Cashion, and Vestle Cashion; one sister Elise Welch.

She is survived by her three daughters, Marilyn (Mike) Boyette of Franklin, Donna (Ellis) Pinkston of Petersburg, and Lisa Pigg of Lewisburg; one son, Larry Donald Pigg of Chapel Hill; one grandson, Jeremy Boyette and three granddaughters, Amanda (Jim) Burch, Autumn (Alex) Berlin, and Jennifer (Dan) Johnson; eight great grandchildren, Bauer and Skilar Burch, Graysen, Maddox and Kyler Johnson and Ava, Oaklyn, and Waylon Berlin; sisters, Louise Markham and Winnie Espy; brothers, Louis Cashion, Roy Lee Cashion and Jerry Cashion; sister-in-law Betty Jean Cashion; a host of nephews and nieces.

The family extends a special thanks to her caregiver, Serina Hastings, for her care, support and love for our mother.

Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Talley Cemetery at Cane Creek.

Pallbearers will be Alex Berlin, Jim Burch, Dan Johnson, Jeremy Boyette, Bauer Burch, and Scottie Cashion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tennessee Kidney Foundation, Attn: Director of Development, PO Box 330989, Nashville, TN 37203; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
