Jo “Mawmaw” Greenhill – Obituary

 Jo "Mawmaw" GreenhillJo “Mawmaw” Greenhill, of Sheffield, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the age of 96. Her graveside service will be Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.

Mawmaw was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Sheffield and volunteered many years as a pink lady at Helen Keller Hospital. She enjoyed cooking especially chocolate pies and little fried apple pies. She loved working in her yard and was well-known for her beautiful lawn and flowers. Mawmaw was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Greenhill.

Her survivors include her daughters, Sheila (David), Mitzie Freeman (Billy) and Deborah Davis; grandchildren, Adrian Owen, Cristy Owen, Chanda Davis and Brandon Davis; great-grandchildren, Bailey Donaldson and Caroline Donaldson; and great-great-granddaughter, Payton Welker.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Station 4 Nurses at Mitchell Hollingsworth and to Denise James with Community Care Hospice.

Pallbearers will be Roland Robbins, Matt Mothershed, Terry Lentz, James Borden, Bennie Greenhill, and Terry Collier.
