Jo Anne (Jo Jo) Finn, age 68, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at her residence in Brownsville, TN after a 10-year battle with ovarian cancer and a 31-year struggle to improve her husband’s behavior. Both endeavors were only partially successful. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in Brownsville, TN with Bro. John Banks officiating. Visitation for Jo Anne will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Elkins, AR on June 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Jo Anne was born on November 22, 1952 in Lodi, California. She was the fourth child of Bill and Betty Shofitt. Her career spanned 45 years including being a store owner, job agency partner, radio ad sales, Nutrisystem District Manager, InSouth Bank Loan Officer/Vice President, Curves franchisee, and LuLaRoe representative. Yet, she still found time to marry and raise a family. She married John Finn on July 7, 1990. She was a faithful member of Union Grove United Methodist Church and served on various committees including Church Treasurer. She loved painting and enjoyed sharing her paintings with others. The priorities in her life were faith, family and friends. It was her faith, her family, her church family and friends that helped support and encourage her during this journey. She was a friend to all who knew her, and she will be missed. Jo Jo is survived by her husband of 31 years, John Finn; one son, Brooks Baucom (Dixie); one daughter, Tara Joyner (Regan), all of Brownsville, TN; two sisters, Carolyn Wall and Marilyn Shoffit, both of Fayetteville, AR. She leaves a legacy of love for her two grandchildren, Miller Baucom and Jase Joyner. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Elizabeth Shoffit and three brothers, Doyle Shoffit, James Shoffit, Dean Shoffit and one half-brother, Glen Shoffit. Pallbearers for the service will be Brooks Baucom, Carl Shoffit, Clayton Shoffit, Clint Shoffit, Bryan Shoffit, Darrell Van Brunt, and Regan Joyner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Tara Joyner, P.O. Box 1553, Brownsville, TN 38012. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
