Mrs. Gibson was co-owner of B&J Antinque Store for over 20 years and owner of Selmer Nursery & Landscaping. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Adamsville, Tennessee.
In her youngers years, she could work from sun up to sun down. She loved her flowers and enjoyed spending time tending to them. She had a passion for antiques, and often went to auctions and flea markets.
Mrs. Gibson was devoted to her family, most everyone affectionately called her “Momma Jo.”
Momma Jo departed this life on January 9, 2018 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 78 Years, 7 Months, 13 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Carla Brooks of Ramer, TN; five grandchildren, Keri Beth Hanna, Joseph Dee Kiser and wife Sherry, Joshua Ray Hurt, Jodie Aaron, Jason Sprocket Hurt; ten great grandchildren, Sydny Nicole Henry, Derrick Christopher Henry, Hannah Jo Kiser, Emma Katherine Kiser, Elaina Chloe Kiser, Thomas Allen McQueen, Darren Ray Hurt, Kendall Hurt, Logan Eli Aaron, and Anna Grace Aaron; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by two sons, Joe Hugh Hanna and Joe Carlton Hurt; three brothers, Lane McMahan, Curtis McMahan, and John Andrew McMahan.
