Jo A. Koonce, 84, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday. Mrs. Koonce was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church for 29 years, where she volunteered as the Wedding and Outside Events Coordinator.
Survivors include her daughter, Lea A. Koonce of Huntsville; brothers, Jerry W. Jones, Robert M. Jones and Charlie L. Jones, all of Memphis; and sisters, Evelyn Stevens of Memphis and Alcyone Buckman of Huntsville.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 23 at Whitesburg Baptist Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the chapel with Dr. Jimmy Jackson officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memphis Memory Gardens in Memphis, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
