JL Brown – Obituary

JL Brown, 64, died suddenly Monday, February 03, 2014. He was born February 26, 1949 in Booneville to John Beasley and Arbie Lee Brown. He served his country in the Marine Corp and worked for Action for 30 years and a leadman. He attended Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed watching football, baseball and wrestling. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Services will be 3:30 PM Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Brown of Plantersville; five children, Tony Abbey and Bill Abbey both of Pontotoc, Susan Cockrell (Bobby) and ReJeanna Roper both of Plantersville and Michele Baggett of Chesterville; his brothers and sisters, Darrell Brown, Smith Brown (Wanda) and Janet Patton all of Booneville, Martha Bullard of Marietta and Joyce Bass of Huntsville, AL; ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Ray Brown and one nephew David Brown.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Cockrell, Matthew Cockrell, Rustin Baggett, Brandon Baggett, Ed Kemp and Michael Tackitt.
