Jimmy Wood – Obituary

Jimmy Wood was born on April 21, 1939, In Hardin County, Tennessee to the late James Cecil and Rebbie Curtis Wood.

On September 10, 1955, he was united in marriage to Pauline Johnson, who survives.

Mr. Wood was a self-employed construction worker who lived and worked in Hardin County all of his life and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and playing with his grandchildren.

Mr. Wood departed this life, on October 18, 2013 at Savannah Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 27 days.

In addition to his wife, Pauline Wood of Michie, Tennessee, he is survived by three children, Randy Gene Wood, Tammy Wood and Barbara Norris all of Michie, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Angie Gilliam, Derek Wood, Cory Norris, Johnathon Wood, Jim Sagely; five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Carolyn Hill of Stantonville, Tennessee and Cathy Murphy of Corinth, Mississippi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Aaron Wood and Timothy Wayne Wood; one grandchild, Jennifer Wood; and three sisters, Charlene Blakney, Ama Lois Lomeick and Joyce Turner.
