Jimmy Wayne Phillips was born on April 6, 1950 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late James Benjamin and Betty Elizabeth Steward Phillips.
On August 12, 1974, he was united in marriage to Betty June Eakers, who preceded her husband in death on February 3, 1999.
Mr. Phillips worked for Parris Manufacturing for 24 years and as a machinist for Connector Castings in Selmer, Tennessee for 10 years. He enjoyed going to yard sales and gardening. Jimmy was always working on something, including lawn mowers and garden tillers. He was of the Methodist Belief.
Jimmy Wayne Phillips departed this life on February 10, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 71 years, 10 months, and 4 days.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Renay Copeland and her husband Travis of Savannah, Tennessee; grandsons, Jason Tyler Copeland and Justin Travis Copeland; great granddaughter, Everleigh Jonette Copeland; and step-sister, Betty DeBerry of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Robert Phillips.
