Mr. Jimmy Thomas Bell, age 69, died Monday, June 24, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House following an extended illness. He was born March 19, 1955, in Tupelo, Mississippi, to the marital union of Reggie Bell and Olene Hood Bell. He married Donna Horner, January 31, 1976, sharing 48 years of memories together. He was employed by the MS Department of Transportation at the time of his death. Jimmy was a talented musician who played the banjo and guitar. He taught music as his side job and hobby. He greatly enjoyed gospel and bluegrass. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose pride and joy were his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jimmy was a very spiritual man who had a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Bell of Tupelo; his son Keith Bell of Tupelo; daughter Misty Riley and her husband John of Brewer community; brother Benson Bell of Ridgeland and sister Ruth Ann Bell, both of Ridgeland; grandchildren Cooper Riley and his wife Lakyn, and Jack Riley; great-grandchildren Grayson Riley and Maggie Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James “Red” Bell.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
