Mr. Jimmy AndersonJimmy Thad Anderson, age 67, passed away peacefully on August 10,2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Born on August 23, 1956, Jimmy was a man of great passion and heart. He cherished his children and grandchildren, always putting them first and offering unconditional love and support. They were the center of his world, and his greatest joy was spending time with them. Jimmy was known throughout the Mid-South and North Mississippi area as the best drywall man around. He took pride in his work, dedicating his career to perfecting his craft. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence made him a respected figure in his field, and his legacy will continue to live through his children. In addition to his professional achievements, Jimmy had a love for vehicles, especially his 1969 Camaros. He could often be found in the shop, tinkering and perfecting his beloved vehicles, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with friends and families alike. Another one of Jimmy’s passions was hunting, a tradition he shared with many close friends and family members. He found peace and camaraderie in the great outdoors, where he made countless cherished memories. In the afternoons, Jimmy enjoyed riding his gator, especially to the backside of his lake and soaking in the beauty of all his hard work. By his side on these rides was his beloved dog Bella, who was his constant companion and loyal friend. Their bond was unbreakable, and Bella brought him great comfort and joy. Jimmy is survived by his son- Wesley Anderson (Angela), daughters- Amanda Lauderdale (Charlie), Jessica Sanders (Matt), Liana Anderson, Whitney Burton (Ryan), Lindy Kirk (Josh) and Nicole Parker, brothers- David Anderson and Nathan Anderson; sister- Mary B. Thornton; grandchildren- Dalton Anderson (Haley), Dylan Anderson, Dakota Lauderdale (Nicole), Paige Lauderdale, Macon and Maelee Sanders, Oaklen, Cooper and Anniston Burton, Peyton, Isabella and Lillie Kirk, Emma Terry and Bryson Dutton. and great grandchildren- Tucker Anderson, Weston Anderson and Huntleigh Lauderdale who will carry on his legacy of love, kindness, hard work and passion for life. He is preceded in death by; Father- J W Anderson and Mother Lillie B. Anderson, brothers- James “Bubba” Anderson and Milton Anderson, sisters- Effie Anderson, Helen Kirk and Carolyn Blackmon. Services will be 2:00pm Tuesday August 13, 2024, at Second Baptist Church with burial to follow in Little Hurricane Cemetery, Sardis, Tn. Family and friends are invited to share their memories and stories, honoring a life well-lived and a man well-loved. Jimmy will forever be remembered for his boundless love to his family and his infectious laughter. Though he may be gone, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. “Sholly Am”
