Jimmy Taylor Layton was born March 5, 1938 in Corinth, MS the son of the late Mary Alice Layton Meek.
Mr. Layton was a janitor and had worked for the Hardin County Hospital in Savannah TN, and Aqua Glass in Adamsville He was a member of the Mars Hill Church of Christ. Some of his favorite pastimes were gardening tending to his pets, going out to eat catfish, drinking coffee, and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Layton departed this life on June 20, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 3 Months, 15 Days.
He is survived by a sister, Diane Sowell of Shiloh, TN; two brothers, Kenneth Meek and wife Linda of Adamsville, TN, James Travis Meek and wife Shirley of Savannah, TN; three nieces Carrie and Candace Meek both of Adamsville TN; Christy Sowell of Shiloh TN; two nephews Timmy Sowell of Shiloh TN, Daniel McCain and wife Ruth Ann of Michie TN.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Layton was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. Ross Layton and Mrs. Eula May Hall Layton, and a niece Christy Lynn Meek.
