Funeral service for Jimmy Ray Terry, age 79, of Moulton will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at New Liberty FCM Church, in the Loosier community  with Rev. Andy Coffey, Rev. Coy Morgan, Rev. Roger Loosier, and Rev. Larry Crumpton officiating.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church.  Interment will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mr. Terry, who died Saturday, October 28, 2023, at home with family, was born  March 28, 1944, to  Clyde and Lillian Wilson Terry.   He was preceded in death by his parents.

His greatest passion was his church. He was a member of New Liberty Church for 73 years where he served as church leader, deacon, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, missionary and song leader. He helped with the construction of the present church and in its early years he would carry the coal buckets and build the fire in the coal heater.

He was very successful with almost everything he attempted. He was an electrician, home builder, mechanic, plumber, heavy equipment operator, trader and loved wood working. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also an avid coon hunter, he enjoyed running his dogs with his hunting buddies.

He is survived by:

Daughter-Kelly Terry Tucker (Quinton)
Sisters-Geanetter Evans (Tommy), Carolyn Welborn(Dawson), Betty Jones(Ronnie)
Grandchildren-Kaila Proctor Morgan(Heath), Jesse Proctor
Great grandchildren-Karson Morgan, Kohen Morgan, Klara Morgan

Pallbearers will be Randal Parker, Jimmy Kirby, Blake Burden, Phillip Parker, Chester Quinn, Danny Adams, Curtis Hicks, Gwin Wilson
Honorary Pallbearers-Dusty Burden, Scotty Halbrooks, Robert Hill, Junior Long, Tim Cross, Kinard Little

The family would like to thank everyone that has called, brought food, visited, and prayed.  They would also like to extend a special thanks to Enhabit Hospice especially Nurse Emily.
