Funeral service for Jimmy Ray Ringgold, 70, will be Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Barber officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Ringgold died on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Decatur Health & Rehab Center. He was born August 5, 1954, in Oklahoma, to Leo Kenneth Ringgold, Sr. and Mary Eula Stephens Ringgold.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Jimmy Ray loved meeting people and talking to people and sharing his life’s stories. He enjoyed studying his Bible, and was an avid Oklahoma Sooners’ Fan.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sisters; Sharon Daugette and Sonya Sue Ringgold, a brother; Kevin Ringgold, two twin grandchildren; in the hands of Jesus now, a brother-in-law; Wayne Whisnant, a nephew; Anthony Whisnant, and nieces; Sharon Phillips and Samantha Ringgold.
Survivors include
Wife – Sherry Lemmond Ringgold
Son – Chandlin Ringgold
Daughter – Lauren Beth McDearmond (Brandon)
Brother – Leo Kenneth Ringgold, Jr. (Diane)
Sister – Janice Whisnant (Julius)
Grandchildren – Sawyer Lyall McDearmond and Ryland Grady McDearmond

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
