Jimmy Ray Parker, 80, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at home. He was born March 29, 1943 to the late Grady Parker and the late Bertha Cayson Wallace in Alabama. He retired from truck driving after 40 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, working on old cars, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Sunday January 7, 2024 at Senter Funeral Home wit Bro. Robert Humphres, and Bro. David Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Tremont First Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be form 5 – 8pm on Saturday January 6, at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his sons; Ronnie (Melissa) Parker of Red Bay, AL, Roger (Kay) Parker of Golden, Tony (Hope) Parker of Fulton, and Anthony (Amanda) Parker of Guntown, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sister; Mary Hood of Fulton, brother; James Parker, of Fulton, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Parker, father; Grady Parker, mother; Bertha Wallace, brother; Gertis Parker, sisters; Milbert Yielding, Moveline Garrett, Lucy Humphres, and Avadale Garrett.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Parker, Roger Parker, Tony Parker, Brad Miller, and Wesley Chamblee.
