Funeral services for Jimmy Ray Jones were Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Jim Anders, Scott Jones and Roger Jones officiating.
Mr. Jones died Friday, Dec. 7. He was born Jan. 1, 1945, in Lawrence County to Fed and Birdie Jones. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a member of the VFW, American Legion and FOE. Mr. Jones was a millwright for Reynolds Metal Company.
Survivors include one son, Michael Jones (Linda) of Georgia; one daughter, Jamie Contreras of Michigan; three grandchildren; four brothers, Carl Jones, Fred Jones and Anthony Jones, all of Alabama, and William Jones of Tennessee; three sisters, Marie Heflin, Brenda Melson, and Deborah Finney, all of Alabama.
