Jimmy Ray Cagle, 80, of Middleton
Mr. Cagle passed away Friday morning, May 13, 2016 in Madison, AL.
He was the son of the late O. V. and Pauline Loggins Cagle. Prior to moving to Middleton in 1972, he was born and raised near Jasper, AL. On June 6, 1959, he was united in marriage to Dorothy “Dot” Mills, who survives. Mr. Cagle received his Associate of Arts degree in Radio/Electronic Engineering in San Mateo, CA and served his country in the US Navy. He had worked for over 30 years at Philips Bodine Company in Collierville as production manager. In his leisure time, he enjoyed motorcycles, boating, “hot rods” and working with stained glass.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Rodney (Michele) Cagle of Huntsville, AL and Michael (Debi) Cagle of Henderson, TN; his daughter, Shannon (Brad) Leslie of Middleton; a sister, Barbara Wedertz of Tampa, FL; 21 grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeannie Armstrong and Suzan Smith; and a brother, Thomas Cagle.
