Jimmy Ray Bumpas A private family service with military honors for Jimmy Ray Bumpas, 77 of Corinth, MS, will be Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Interment will be in Corinth National Cemetery. Dr. Randy Bostick will officiate the service. Visitation will be Monday, January 18, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home-East. Mr. Bumpas passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born September 10, 1943 in Memphis, TN to Troy Dean Bumpas and Ruby Vashti Lancaster Bumpas. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from TVA as a public safety officer after 25 years of service. Jimmy is survived by his son, Jim Bumpas and wife Brandi of Corinth, MS; three grandchildren, Jake Bumpas, Noah Bumpas and Beau Mattox Bumpas; his brothers, Bobby Bumpas and wife Johnnie of Corinth, MS and Dennis Bumpas and wife Kathy of Corinth, MS; his sister, Dimple Yarber of Corinth, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Dean Bumpas; his mother Ruby Vashti Lancaster Bumpas and his brother, Wayne Bumpas. Pallbearers will be Ray Latch, Jimmy Howie, Stanley Potts, Rick Harvell, Buddy Ayers and David Arnold. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Jimmy Ray Bumpas.
