Jimmy Ray Brown, age 74 of Goodlettsvile passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield. He was born January 16, 1949 in Lafayette, GA to James Raymond & Barbara Wilson Brown. He worked as a supervisor for DET Distributing until his retirement and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He loved playing softball and golf and he enjoyed bowling. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Brown, Goodlettsville, TN; son, Timothy Ray (Brandy) Brown, Smyrna, TN; daughter, Kimberly Slagle, Greenbrier, TN; brothers, Larry (Carolyn) Brown, AL and Teddy (Twila) Brown, Westmoreland, TN; sister, Vonna Brown, GA; 3 grandchildren, Hailey, Anthony and Rijac; 1 great-grandchild, Mila.
