Jimmy Phillips was born in Morris Chapel, Tennessee on September 7, 1930 the son of the late John P. and Vonnie Hopper Phillips.
Mr. Phillips was united in marriage to Bobbie Ruth Hughes, who survives.
He was the owner and operator of Phillips Brick & Tile. He was a member of Milledgeville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Phillips departed this life on February 23, 2015 at Milledgeville, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 16 days.
In addition to his wife, Bobbie of Milledgeville, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Anthony Phillips of Milledgeville, Tennessee, Shelia A. Phillips of Glen Allen, Virginia and Tammy Phillips Brown of Jackson, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, John Ray Phillips and one sister, Patsy Ruth.
