Mr. Jimmy Neal Mullins departed this life on July 21, 2017 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 7 Months, 3 Days.
He was born December 18, 1940 in Henderson, TN the son of the late Roy E. and Vernell Bertie Hugueley Mullins. He attended school in Chester County. He began farming at an early age and then worked for Schultz Manufacturing in Henderson. He married Alma Jean McCormick June 2, 1961. They moved to Ackerman, MS and he worked at Endicott Johnson as a machine operator. In 1965 they returned to Henderson and he began working for Quality Manufacturing for a short time before going into home construction. He then began working as a maintenance engineer for Kemmons & Wilson Property Managers, retiring in 2005 to being his own landscaping business for the next 8 years. He loved traveling, fishing, gardening, yard work and home repair. He had a puppy, “Muffy,” that he dearly loved. He was a member of the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian church.
He is survived by his wife Alma Jean (McCormick) Mullins of Jackson, TN; a daughter, Kim Mullins of Jackson, TN; a sister, Mary Nell Jackson of Henderson, TN.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Ray Mullins.
A Graveside Service will be held on July 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Chester County Memory Gardens in Henderson, Tennessee with Ronnie Geary officiating.
