Jimmy McCoy Jimmy McCoy (James William McCoy), of Jackson, TN, passed away and entered Heaven on February 23, 2022, at the age of 72. He was surrounded by his wife, Pamela Jayne Moon McCoy and son, Logan William McCoy, and loving family as he took his last breath.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Pam; son Logan; in-laws Bill and Rebecca Moon; brother-in-law Dale Moon and his wife Sheri, and their children Todd Moon and Karl Swor; brother-in law Eric Bose and his wife Kim, and their children Dylan and Rachel; and cousin Margaret Ann Cary.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Ann Flake McCoy and his elder brother Joseph.

Jimmy was born in Jackson, TN on November 15, 1949. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1967 and Lambuth College in 1971. On December 3, 1988, he married Pam, an administrative assistant and the love of his life. On January 23, 1992, their son Logan was born. Jimmy worked for Proctor and Gamble for nearly 30 years before entering a blissful retirement.

Jimmy was a loving husband, father, and Christian. He enjoyed grilling, working out, classic cars, maintaining his front lawn and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He adored his dogs Missy, Marvin and Millie. His infectious personality made everyone laugh. He always looked for opportunities to offer encouragement to those who needed it and was a loyal friend. He was a devout Christian and participated in many church activities at West Jackson Baptist Church, such as a greeter, security, Iron Sharpeners men’s bible study and GROW visitation. He coached his son Logan in little league baseball and was most proud when their team won the Championship and Best Sportsmanship award. He loved listening to Elvis Presley, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Journey and many other classic musicians.

One of his favorite songs was “Midnight Cry.” His loved ones rejoice in the assurance that Jimmy is in the presence of his Lord. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 5 at West Jackson Baptist Church in Jackson, TN with Tim Fortner, Jimmy’s Sunday School teacher and Dale Moon, his brother-in-law officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the service time at 11:00 AM.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Vaughan, Eric Bose, Todd Moon, Dylan Bose, Karl Swor, Kyle Moore and Neal Rushing.
